Mia's intent when teaching yoga is to provide an environment where students can create space in their body and mind, find stillness, explore and discover full range joint mobility, and practice being present with 'what is'. Her classes are straight forward, both mindful and powerful, offering time for students to let their practice unfold.
Mia has had rheumatoid arthritis since she was twenty and her yoga and meditation practice have helped ease the difficulties of living with RA. She was a triathlete and long distance runner and believes that this, combined with her physical challenges has helped to inform her practice and teaching.
